Hey sorry its been a while but am breaking the stalemate.
I bought this Fabulous retro 1970s dress from ebay at a absoulte steal and always think garments wth history make the best new fashions! and it was wondefully gothic to fit my theme of gothic luxe!
| As soon as i saw the dress on ebay it was exactly what i was looking for it was 1970's at its best. |
| After "tearfully" unpicking the garment i drapped it around a mannequin and ruffled the sides by simply scrunching the sides and holding them in place with a simple seed stitch. |
| I then pleated the "collar" of the top. |
| I then sewed the arm back on. |
| The final outcome with both arms sewed on. |
| I then added a belt with the fabric scraps that were left, i think it has real early preen look about it. |
So after a did the decon recon i decided to improve it to fit my brief critera by adding more textile elements such as furrowing.
